Psalm is yet another fragmentary piece in the After Paul Celan cycle. It is scored for viola, and is composed of three main sections. In a complete, or partially complete performence of the cycle, the three segments of Psalm should be spaced throughout the performance--the middle section should be placed within the chamber orchestra work, Corona. Each section is a collection of small fragments, exploiting various double-stop techniques. The first performance of this work was on June 12, 2001 by Dominica Eykmans in Ghent, Belgium.
