Saturn and Jupiter is a hörspiel which reponds to and follows the trajectory of Glenn Gould's radio documentary, The Idea of North. It is a collection of sounds and interviews taken from Brent's trip, in february of 2003, to the Churchill Northern Studies Centre in Churchill, Manitoba. Brent followed the same train route mentioned by Glenn Gould in The Idea of North, and of the the interviews respond in some way to the ideas expressed in that work. With that said, there is a marked change in the environment of Saturn and Jupiter. The expanses of desolation become central, while the appearance of language and discourse are forced into a kind of isolation.The visual component on the DVD version of Saturn and Jupiter servse as an accompaniment to the audio, and as a way to focus the listener's attention
