I like to think of myself as a composer, performer
and critic of new and experimental music--not necessarily in that order.
I have three degrees in composition and would like a fourth and final one. The first three are from University of
Michigan, the Royal Conservatory in Ghent, Belgium, and Wesleyan University. Some of my primary teachers have been:
Andrew Mead, Alvin Lucier, Ron Kuivila, Anthony Braxton, Godfried-Willem Raes, Joachim Brackx, Richard Barrett, James
Aikman and Evan Chambers. I am also an avid cyclist, chef and connoisseur of Belgian beers.
