1. Click "Start Program"
2. Adjust the settings. It is set by default for a 2 staff (piano...) manuscript without any indentation.
3. Click "Make Manuscript." This will generate a high quality jpeg of your manuscript paper. You can either save this file, or print it directly to paper.
4. When printing, be sure to adjust your page layout settings so that the page size and orientation matches what you selected in the program.
5. Unfortunately, I'm still having trouble making the program auto format the number of staff-systems per page, so you have to enter that manually. This means, that you'll probably need to try things out several times before you get the right number of staves per page and proper spacing. This also means that the bottom margin value is currently worthless.
6. If you decide to do something ridiculous, like putting in negative numbers or letters, the errors are not my fault.
7. Select your file format. PNG is default, but JPEG and PSD are also supported.
8. Choose whether you want the file displayed on screen, or if you want a link so that you can download the file. This program works best with a Macintosh running Safari. There are problems with printing directly from Internet Explorer, and page formatting seems to be a problem with firefox. So if you're using a PC, you should use the "print to file" option--or just go buy yourself a mac. Once the browser displays the link, right click to download the file to disk. You should then be able to open the file with PhotoShop or your favorite graphics editor and print the file.
